Get in Early and Claim Your Spot
Earlier this summer, I had the rare opportunity to camp in the Katmai Wilderness and photograph Alaskan coastal bears in one of the most remote landscapes in North America. Wildlife photography has been a passion of mine for years, and few places test that passion like Katmai. The days are long and the weather unpredictable, but the reward is watching bears move across a landscape that has remained unchanged for centuries.
Some of that time was spent on the sedge meadows and tidal flats at Hallo Bay. Before the salmon arrive, bears rely on sedges and razor clams, working the grassy meadows and tidal flats to build fat reserves. In good years, the clam beds run thick and the digging is quick. In lean years, the population thins, and the same flats demand more effort. Either way, the bears that get out early get first pick. Wait too long, and there’s less to be found.

Just as the bears that dig early secure the richest clam beds, exhibitors who act now secure the best spots and rates. Exhibit space at EXPO 2027 is following a similar pattern to previous show cycles. Sales opened in early summer, and with advertising campaigns now ramping up, interest is accelerating. About 45% of exhibit space remains, and the advance discount deadline has been extended—giving exhibitors a little more time to lock in savings before that window closes.
Space is confirmed on a first‑come, first‑served basis, with a 50% deposit required to secure your location. If you’ve been waiting to reserve your booth, now is the time. Exhibitors who commit early get their choice of floor space and the better rate. Those who wait will face fewer options and higher costs.
EXPO 2027 runs August 18–20 in Savannah, Georgia, built around workforce, logistics, and customer engagement for the North American lumber industry.
Don’t wait for the flats to thin out. Reserve your space before the extended advance discount deadline passes.
