Around the Industry Southern Pine Shipments End 2024 Even With 2023 Southern Pine lumber shipments in December totaled 1.594 billion board feet (Bbf), 15% below November’s revised shipments of 1.876 Bbf. 2024 shipments totaled 21.977 Bbf, nearly equal to 2023.
The 2024 shipments total is nearly double from 2009 when shipments bottomed at 11.8 Bbf.
2024 Year-End Southern Pine Exports Report Exports of Southern Pine lumber (treated and untreated) ended 2024 with 565.7 Mbf, which was up 11% over the previous year. |

Because of that, SFPA is not taking travel requests yet, so please refrain from booking any international travel without prior approval from SFPA. |
